About AgriGrok

AgriGrok gathers PhD positions, jobs and events in agriculture, agrifood and agritech from across 28 European countries (the 27 EU member states and the United Kingdom) and shows them on one map.

How it works

  1. Collect. Every night an automated collector (AgriGrokBot) reads public RSS feeds, job-board APIs and career pages of universities, research institutes, agritech companies and event calendars.
  2. Filter. Each posting is checked for relevance to agriculture and food, classified as a PhD position, job or event, and placed on the map by its city or country.
  3. Publish. The site is rebuilt as static pages, with one page per listing, country and category, plus feeds and an open JSON API.
  4. Expire. Positions disappear once their application deadline passes. Events disappear once they have ended.

AgriGrok shows only a short excerpt of each posting and always links to the original. The source is authoritative, and you apply there.

For publishers: AgriGrokBot

AgriGrokBot identifies itself as Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; AgriGrokBot/1.0; +https://agrigrok.com/about/). It respects robots.txt (user-agent token AgriGrokBot), waits at least one second between requests to the same host, and fetches each source once a day. To opt out, disallow AgriGrokBot in your robots.txt and your pages will stop being collected on the next run.
